ABOUT

The Right Bite is composed of San Diego State journalism students with an interest in showcasing the best food in San Diego. San Diego is located right next to the Tijuana border, so of course the Mexican food is muy bien. But, San Diego has much more to offer than just Mexican food. San Diego consists of many different ethnic groups that each bring in their own unique flavor to create a variety of cuisine options for San Diego residents. From Korean bbq on Convoy St. to the Italian restaurants in Little Italy, there are many great food options for the adventurous San Diego foodie. We will post about which restaurants in San Diego we think are worth your time, but we also want to hear from you! If you find a restaurant that you think is worth sharing, tweet us @right_bite.

Kalyn Hanna

Thane is a sophomore at San Diego State majoring in Philosophy and Journalism while minoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. He appreciates all cuisines, with the  caveat being that he is a vegetarian. He is interested in looking at the mix of San Diego's cuisines from this perspective. While not unhappy with the usual mix of salads, he has a penchant for deserts. For him, nothing is better than good ice cream. His love for food and his desire to share that love has lead him to The Right Bite.

"I like eating and I like my friends. And eating with my friends is probably my favorite thing I've ever done."

Kalyn is a junior at San Diego State University. She is majoring in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in sociology. Being a busy college student, she eats out most of the time and has come to love the local San Diego cuisine. San Diego is a lovely melting pot of cultures and it shows through in its vast variety of cuisine options. She has a preference for sushi and eats it at least twice a week. Her biggest weakness is salty foods, especially potato chips. Her passion for eating and writing has brought her to The Right Bite.

"People disappoint. Pizza is eternal."
